Pause or Stop Automated Follow-Up
Turning off a plan and stopping one contact’s enrollment solve different problems.
Where to find it: the Action Plan or the contact’s enrollment
What to do
- Pause or deactivate the plan when no new contacts should enter.
- Open the contact or enrollment when only one person should stop.
- Use the stop or unenroll action shown.
- Check for already queued messages or tasks.
- Record the reason when the team needs the context.
Good to know
- Deactivating a plan may not cancel work that is already in progress.
- A contact’s valid opt-out must be respected across every automation.
