Build Action-Plan Steps and Delays
Steps run in order and can include waits, communication, CRM updates, tasks, calls, and connected actions.
Where to find it: an Action Plan → Steps
What to do
- Add a delay before any follow-up that should not happen immediately.
- Add one action at a time and complete all required fields.
- Use conditions for genuine branching, not as a substitute for a clear audience.
- Review the whole timeline from the contact’s point of view.
- Test with external sends directed only to controlled test destinations.
Good to know
- Check timezones and quiet hours for delayed communication.
- Moving a step can change the meaning of every later action.
