Import Contacts from a CSV
CSV import is best for a clean list with one header row and one person per row. Start with a small sample when the file is unfamiliar.
Where to find it: Admin → Pipeline → Contacts
What to do
- Remove blank rows, merged cells, formulas, and unrelated notes from the file.
- Use separate columns for first name, last name, email, phone, and other fields.
- Start the import and map each source column to the correct CRM field.
- Review duplicate and exclusion warnings before confirming.
- Check several imported contacts, then apply tags or create follow-up work.
Good to know
- Keep a copy of the original file.
- An imported contact is not automatically safe to email; consent and suppression rules still apply.
