Task Management
Tasks ensure that follow-ups never fall through the cracks. Every promise you make to a client should become a task.
Creating a task
You can create tasks from:
- The dashboard — Click Create Task in the quick actions
- A contact page — Click Add Task to link it to a specific contact
- The task list — Click New Task at the top of the list
Each task includes:
- Title — What needs to be done (e.g., "Call John about King West project")
- Due date — When it should be completed
- Priority — Low, Medium, High, or Urgent
- Assigned to — Which team member is responsible
- Linked contact — Optional link to a CRM contact
- Notes — Additional details
Task reminders
Reminders are sent via email at:
- 24 hours before the due date
- At the due date
- When overdue (daily digest of overdue tasks)
Create a task every time you tell a client "I will follow up." Building this habit ensures you never leave a lead waiting.
Managing tasks
The task list can be filtered by:
- Assigned team member
- Due date range
- Priority level
- Status (pending, completed, overdue)
- Linked contact
Completing tasks
Mark a task as complete from the task list or the contact detail page. Completed tasks remain in the activity timeline for reference.
