Import and Manage URL Redirects
Redirects preserve useful old links when a site or page address changes.
Where to find it: Admin → Migration → Redirects
What to do
- Add the old path and the best matching new destination.
- Use the redirect import tool for a clean file of many mappings.
- Review import errors and duplicates.
- Test old links in a private browser window.
Good to know
- Redirect each old page to its closest replacement, not all pages to the homepage.
- Avoid redirect chains where one old address points to another redirect.
