How Search Works
The search bar is available on every page of your site. It provides instant results as visitors type.
What is searchable
The search index includes:
- Project names — highest priority in scoring
- Developer names — second priority
- Architect names — third priority
- City and neighbourhood — fourth priority
- MLS listings — building name matching (if MLS enabled)
How scoring works
Results are ranked by a relevance score. Matches at the beginning of a name score higher than matches in the middle. For example, searching "King" will rank "King Toronto" above "The Kingsway" because the match starts at the beginning.
Search behavior
- As the visitor types, results appear in a dropdown below the search bar
- Each result shows the project name, city, developer, and a thumbnail
- Clicking a result navigates to the project detail page
- Pressing Enter opens a full search results page with all matches
Tips for agents
When sending a link to a client, you can link directly to a search result. The URL format is yoursite.com/search?q=project+name. This is useful in email campaigns or text messages.
